The Arcopedico
Story
Throughout
the years ARCOPEDICO has become the natural choice of those who want to live
their lives in comfort.
In this
3rd millennium we are all becoming aware of the lifestyles we have chosen for
ourselves. Paying closer attention to the details of our
every day life and how to improve it. Some of the things we are paying
closer attention to are the foods we eat and the clothes we wear. Though management of these we can increase our sense of well-being.
That’s why for the past few years, the importance of comfort, mainly in clothes
and footwear, has been on the rise.
Aware of the importance of comfort in today’s life, we’ve been developing
several styles of ARCOPEDICO shoes for a new generation of well-being. We are
proud to say that the results have largely surpassed our expectations, assuring
us that we are on the right track when we think of people’s comfort!
Due to ARCOPEDICO’s three basic traits:
Techno-Elastic Uppers, Anatomic Footbed and Twin Arch
Support System. Soon after it’s creation in 1966 by Prof. Elio
Parodi, ARCOPEDICO began to be the chosen shoe for
people for people who wished to walk in comfort. From the freedom of the knit
to the smoothness of the garment leather, in more than 50 styles, we guarantee:
PURE COMFORT!
We wish to share with you the ARCOPEDICO experience, entitling you to the same
pride and satisfaction we experience when we see a happy customer. It’s more
than a health shoe, ARCOPEDICO makes your feet want to
keep walking
Classic Shoes and Sandals
With 30
years of experience behind us we were able to create the first ARCOPEDICO
sandal using our own knit (volumetric density controlled) and a cork and latex
anatomical footbed.
Using the principles of ergonomics and the anatomy of the foot, this footbed allows for the perfect distribution of the body
weight throughout the entire plantar surface, while the knitted upper is able
to accommodate any foot shape for a more perfect fit. First Produced in 1966,
from the beginning this single shoe has grabbed the consumer’s attention and generated
immediate success!
It’s techno-elastic ability was often the solution for
people with serious foot problems. It’s self adjusting knitted upper with
volume density control, revolutionary in 1966 and still very contemporary today
with the twin arch support system contributed greatly to the shoe’s success.
The ARCOPEDICO patented
sole produced originally in PVC with pigskin and cork insole wasn’t an obvious
choice, but proved to be the appropriate one. It’s
extraordinary density formula allowed it to be adjustable, flexible and
extremely resistant through the years.
The life of this shoe is extremely long, in some cases
people wear them for more than 5 years.
The PVC sole in 1995 was
progressively withdrawn to comply with environmental recommendations from the
European Union, being replaced by a TR material that has very similar
characteristics but environmentally safe.
Relaxed Line
The use of Lycra was a natural progression in our quest to build a
well-balanced footwear line for ARCOPEDICO. Our idea was create an extremely
comfortable and practical shoe that was able to combine the Techno-Elastic
ability and the Twin Arch Support System incorporated in the ARCOPEDICO
patented sole. By choosing Lycra by Dupont it gave us
the smoothness and flexibility that was a very important part of our project.
The plantar surface is protected by use of an anatomical insole and the ultra
light PU sole with Twin Arch Support System.
Salute Line
Realizing
the demand for more open shoes to wear at home and on leisure occasions, lead
to the study of a style of sandals that would conform to the main principle
that is ARCOPEDICO: the techno-elastic ability.

Nature Line
ARCOPEDICO
was first introduced as a textile shoe, using materials that would conform to
its techno-elastic capabilities. Following this concept, we have created the
first ARCOPEDICO line of garment leather comfort shoes. The leather was chosen
for its thinness and the silky smooth look. However, these qualities make it
extremely difficult to work with. But we were dedicated to producing the finest
shoe available and upon the release of the “Nature Line” thousands of people
worldwide agreed that we had found the right combination of materials. Manually
